Hello everyone! I just joined this community so I'd thought I'd introduce myself. I'm a 19 year old (20 in 3 weeks!) female university student in southern California. I've been trying to lose weight since well, forever. I've weighed more than I want to since I was in 4th grade, nothing major, never more than 10 pounds. My family is very critical of weight, so I have some issues with that area of my life. I'm really self-critical too, and obsessed with my appearance.
I do not have an eating disorder though, and I want to lose the weight in a healthy way and keep it off. I gained 20 pounds in the last two years of high school, went through a really rough time. At the end of senior year I got the stomach flu, lost some weight, never regained my appetite, and kept losing. I lost the 20 pounds in less than 6 months, just through controlling portions and limiting fatty foods. Living in the dorms was really great, the buffet-style cafeteria actually helped me to control portions. I have NO trouble maintaining weight, just losing it.
Anyway, fast forward one year, I'm back to how much I weighed in 8th grade (only an inch taller now), and I haven't lost any weight this past year. I was 145 at my highest weight, and 122 is my lowest. I'm 122 pounds right now and 5'2 1/2 tall, want to be somewhere between 108 and 112 pounds within the new couple months. I'm really looking forward to fitting into all the new fashions! I joined so I can post my food intake, hope it will keep me accountable. I've never tried it before, so hopefully it will be good! I'm just trying to control calorie intake, average around 1100. That's all! :)
